I met Daniel Gallagher and his wife Mindy Ruiz when they won the Aftel Award for Handmade Perfume at the Olfaction Award 2022 for Behold Patchouli at the World Perfumery Congress in Miami. Daniel is the sole perfumer for the brand and Mindy plays an important advisory role. In 2017, Daniel Gallagher was serving in the rank of Captain as an Air Force Cyberspace Defense Officer in the US Air Force, which is when he became the 123rd olfactive artist in Profiles in American Perfumer Series.-Michelyn Camen, Editor-in-Chief

Gallagher Fragrances Wicked Good (2019) is excellence in artisan perfumery. The combination of just three listed ingredients: chocolate, vanilla, and tonka bean is as sweet as it can be, and the balance of ingredients is just right. Easy- to-wear, and the long-lasting aroma will leave you smelling delicious all day long. It was launched as a limited edition but became so popular that it was released on a large scale. – Steven and Michelyn
Gallagher Fragrances Purple Powder launched in 2023 and both Sandi, and I named it in our top 10 perfumes of the year! Rarely have I been so taken by a fragrance that I (abashedly) asked the artisan perfumer for a tester. Purple Powder is truly my pick for the most unique in our curation. There are a myriad of olfactive hues- brown, red, yellow, orange and of course purple. A sign of a talented perfumer is one that can take all nearly 50 ingredients and blend them to perfection.-Michelyn
“Featured Notes” per Gallagher Fragrances: Yellow Mandarin, Calabrian Lemon, Litsea Cubeba, Bergamot, Bitter Orange, Black and Pink Pepper, Magnolia, Lily, Iris Powder, Texas Cedar, Sweet Acorn, Amber, Benzoin, Toasted Cinnamon, Patchouli Heart, Hay Absolute, Labdanum, Madagascar Vanilla Absolute, Styrax, Vetiver, and Musk.
Gallagher Fragrances TONKA PEACH Pearlescent Parfum (2023): This peach gourmand perfume has the most photo-realistic peach note I have smelt in years and rivals one of my favorites as best PEACH perfume ever (MDCI Peche Cardinale which was created by a classically trained perfumer). According to the brand, it was inspired by a family gathering at Mindy’s Father’s house and his Peach Cobbler. Although a puff pastry note is listed, it doesn’t overwhelm the composition. My skin amplifies the juiciness of the peaches and the tonka beans which smell like they were soaked in prosecco. I haven’t seen my family for a while now, and after a challenging spring, TONKAPEACH is what I wear when we get together. –Michelyn
